Copy into Settings → Agent → Privacy notice. Bump Privacy notice version after each edit so the app re-prompts for consent.
When to use this
Before enabling location collection for your organization. Starting draft only — your legal / HR team must approve.
Not legal advice. The customer (data controller) owns internal policy and employment contracts.
English template (paste into Privacy notice)
Location data privacy notice Your organization uses the VN-MDM Agent app to help manage work devices. 1. Data we collect - Device location during configured working hours (coordinates, accuracy, timestamp). - Workplace enter/exit events (geofence) when enabled. - When you send SOS: location and incident details for emergency support. 2. Purpose Device safety, workplace presence, incident support, and internal policy compliance — not surveillance beyond this notice. 3. Retention Location data is kept for the period your organization configures (typically 7–365 days, often about 30 days) and then deleted automatically. Incident records may be kept longer under the incident policy. 4. Who can see it Only administrators granted location / incident permissions. Each location history view is audited. 5. Your rights You can review recently shared location data in the app Settings. To request an export or erasure of location data, contact your organization’s admin or privacy contact. 6. Contact [Fill in your organization’s DPO / HR email or phone] By choosing Agree, you confirm you have read this notice and consent to location data processing for the purposes above during working hours.
How to paste in the panel
Open Settings → Agent.
Paste the template into Privacy notice. Edit the Contact section.
Increase Privacy notice version by one if the module was already enabled.
Save. Employees will see the notice in the app before the OS location permission prompt.
